Fractional Resurfacing Laser at the Lynton Clinic, Cheshire
Do you want to Resurface your Skin with a Fractional Laser?
Fractional laser treatments stimulate you skin’s natural healing process, resulting in accelerated collagen production and renewal process that can take years off your skin. Our most anti-ageing laser procedure, fractional laser can treat lines and wrinkles, improve overall skin tone and elasticity and restore a youthful glow. Fractional laser resurfacing finally offers a solution for acne scarring, sun damaged skin and stretchmarks too. It’s now a popular solution for some of the more challenging skin problems that some of us face
What is Fractional Laser?
Fractional Lasers came about as people wanted great results on certain conditions such as scarring, stretch marks, lines and wrinkles, but they wanted to minimise the ‘downtime’ i.e redness and swelling as much as possible. They have been ‘fractionalated’ meaning they only directly treat small portions of the skin, but these areas then stimulate the other sections of skin to respond. We use ablative fractional lasers here.
How do they work?
They are absorbed by the water in the skin, which creates a lot of heat and removes minute sections of the skin giving a ‘resurfacing peel like’ effect. This heat then penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate significant collagen renewal. This is working with the body’s natural recovery process.
Do you have different Fractional Lasers?
Here at The Lynton Clinic, we are very lucky that our parent company, Lynton Lasers Ltd, manufacture lots of different systems, including 2 different fractional lasers, both of which we are lucky to have. We use the Award Winning Lynton ResurFACE Fractional Laser system, and also the Quanta CO2 YouLaser.
What’s the difference between the 2 Fractional Laser systems?
The difference between ResurFACE and YouLaser is the wavelengths. The YouLaser penetrates deeper into the skin which means there is a longer downtime but you may not need as many treatments and results can be better. YouLaser is performed by our Plastic Surgeon and topical anaesthetic is required beforehand,
ResurFACE is a gentler treatment which still achieves fantastic results, though you may need more treatments and if the problem is significant you may be suited to the stronger Co2. The downtime for this treatment is less and the skin heals much quicker
How do I know which system is right for me?
We recommend that you come into The Lynton Clinic for a consultation with one of our clinicians to discuss your needs and concerns which will then allow us to give the best treatment package for you.
